The Chronicles of Narnia movie franchise has traveled a rough road, being dumped and picked up by different movie studios a couple of times, but it`s not dead just yet. It was back in 2013 when we found out that a fourth movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair, was officially on the way The movie would be a co-production of The Mark Gordon Company and C.S. Lewis Company, with C.S. Lewis`s stepson Douglas Gresham developing the screenplay along with Mark Gordon and C.S. Lewis Company director Vincent Sieber.C.S. Lewis was the author of the old school seven book series of fantasy books before J.K Rowling capped off her series with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows almost seven years ago.  There is nothing wrong with making money, that`s why they are in business, I understand that, but if they had their heads on straight and it was really all about money, they would tell the story everyone loves, using the characters every one loves, and then they would have some serious fan loyalty and make even more money, oh, but that requires common sense and when is the last time we have seen that come out of the movie studios. The Mark Gordon Company and the C.S. Lewis Company have struck a deal to jointly develop and produce The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Silver Chair, which would extend the fantasy film franchise that last appeared with The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader, which Fox released in 2010.  I had read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe once before, and had seen the movies of both LWW and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, so I had a basic idea of what happened there, but other than that knew next to nothing of Narnia (other than that it was an epic analogy for Biblical Creation up until the End Times- and I love analogies for Christianity). The Silver Chair was the fourth novel in C.S. Lewis` Chronicles of Narnia series.  The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, completed by the end of March 1949 17 and published by Geoffrey Bles in the United Kingdom on 16 October 1950, tells the story of four ordinary children: Peter , Susan , Edmund , and Lucy Pevensie , who have been evacuated to the English countryside from London in 1940 following the outbreak of World War II They discover a wardrobe in Professor Digory Kirke `s house that leads to the magical land of Narnia.Producer Mark Gordon says there`s active development on a film version of The Silver Chair, based on the fourth book of the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.  Completed in February 1954 20 and published by Bodley Head in London on 2 May 1955, the prequel The Magician`s Nephew brings the reader back to the origins of Narnia where we learn how Aslan created the world and how evil first entered it. Digory Kirke and his friend Polly Plummer stumble into different worlds by experimenting with magic rings made by Digory`s uncle.

Born the eldest son and heir of King Lune of Archenland, and elder twin of Prince Corin, Cor was kidnapped as an infant and raised as a fisherman`s son in the country of Calormen Learning that he is about to be sold into slavery at the beginning of The Horse and His Boy, Shasta escapes to freedom, saves Archenland and Narnia from invasion, learns of his true identity, and is restored to his heritage. The Mark Gordon Company and The C.S. Lewis Company took over the rights from The Walden Group back in 2013, when they first announced plans for a Silver Chair adaptation, so it`s not surprising that the production companies would want to build something new instead of relying on the foundation of a franchise that was ultimately always a bit of an underperformer.Though The Silver Chair book, which takes place several decades after The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, does not feature Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie from The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe, it does have several holdover characters from Dawn Treader, including Eustace Scrubb (previously played by Will Poulter), and, of course, Aslan the Jesus Lion (voiced by Liam Neeson). You can watch The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardro online for free on this page by streaming the movie in the video player above or by choosing a different version to play below it.
